As part of the METTEN group we are not only benefitting from hands-on experience in our own production and sales distribution, but also look back on 40 years in the field of successful licensing. It all started with the first licensing in the eighties with the meanwhile famous grass-paving stone, which was developed by Josef Metten in 1969. Today our partners which are using our design and know-how are located in more than 25 countries. By founding Consulting GmbH 12 years ago we stressed this professional part of our business.
We are ready to develop mutually your own product and market strategy for your company's success. For this purpose, we offer a wide range of unique technologies, coatings and designs. Testing the technical production requirements is as essential as the exploration of raw materials.
Based on this we develop individual mixdesigns and any necessary machine adaptations.
The trial in the technical center in Overath is followed by a know-how transfer and training of machine operators at our production at METTEN´s plant. This is the basis for a successful implementation of the technology at your plant and your own production. After laying this foundation for our mutual success our support is not finished: besides our ongoing marketing support concerning your new product we like to have a constant exchange as an essential part of our consulting service. For many licensees and collaborates the consulting assignment for METTEN Consulting GmbH usually begins with the further development of the existing product portfolio and the optimization of production processes. The development and establishment of METARA Co.Ltd. in Saudi Arabia started completely different - namely at point zero.
In the summer of 2014, we signed a consulting contract that began with the concept of a concrete stone plant under the hot conditions of Riyadh and extended from the selection of plant components through to commissioning. METARA produced several million square meters of high-quality concrete stones since starting the production in 2017 and is market leader for high-quality and engineered concrete stones in Saudi Arabia by now.
We were particularly proud of METARA‘s participation on the globally recognized Public Investment Fund (PIF) forum in Riyadh in spring 2025 as participation is reserved exclusively for very successful and highly innovative companies.
